4. Emails We Send

We use your name and email address to send the emails described in our Terms of Service: account and billing emails, helpful emails (such as a welcome, reminders during your free trial, tips, and a reminder when you have not visited for a while), and news and offers (such as our monthly news, new features and promotions). You agree to these emails when you create your account, and we keep a record of when you agreed and the exact words you agreed to.

To decide which helpful emails to send and when, we use your account activity, such as your plan, when you last signed in and what you have made in Soruno. We limit how many of these emails we send each day and each week, and we stop emailing an address that cannot receive our emails or reports them as spam.

Every helpful email and every news and offers email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn these emails off or back on in your account settings at any time, free of charge. Account and billing emails are not affected, because you need them to use the service.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Data is stored on secure servers with restricted access, and we use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use necessary storage for service functions. Optional analytics and advertising measurement, including Meta Pixel and the Google tag for Google Ads, remain off unless you choose to allow them. If allowed, Meta Pixel and the Google tag record page visits and browser information. With the same permission, Google Ads also measures completed new account registrations and first paid subscriptions using opaque transaction identifiers and, for subscriptions, the amount paid and currency. We do not send your name or email to Google for these conversions or use the Google tag for ad personalisation. With your optional measurement permission, Meta also receives completed new account registrations and first paid subscriptions through its Conversions API, using opaque event identifiers, existing Meta browser or ad-click identifiers, browser details and, for subscriptions, the amount paid and currency. These account and subscription events do not include your name, email or IP address. Waitlist signup measurement happens only on our servers: when you join the waitlist and tick its checkbox, we report your first signup to Meta (Meta Conversions API) to measure our ads, whatever your analytics choice: your email and name in hashed form, your IP address and browser details, and Meta's ad-click identifiers when you arrived from a Meta ad. We store your choice in your browser and in a first-party preference cookie so server-side analytics can follow the same choice. You can change your choice at any time through Analytics settings. Denying or withdrawing consent keeps future optional measurement off. You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies, although some necessary service functions may be affected.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:

8. Third-Party Services

When you allow optional measurement, Meta receives Pixel event and browser or device information, and Google receives Google tag event and browser or device information, for advertising measurement. When you join the waitlist, Meta receives a signup event with your hashed email and name, IP address and browser details for advertising measurement.
